Welcome to San Diego-area attractions. The Greater San Diego area is full of attractions for all ages. Catch sight of a travel whale just off the San Diego coast from mid-December to mid-March only. Don't come during the summer if you want more space to yourself on the beach.

School is out, and so are all the kids. Whale-watching cruises are a draw here when
enormous grays make their way from Alaska's Bering Sea to the Baja peninsula and a dynamic schedule of multicultural festivals and celebrations, some of San Diego’s most alluring attractions remain what nature provided. Hit San Diego in June for the Del Mar Fair, featuring a carnival, a livestock show and evening entertainment.

 
 
 

Beaches :

Black's Beach is a two mile long, sandy stripe located at the base of majestic cliffs up to 300 feet high. It is officially known as Torrey Pines City Beach and Torrey Pines State Beach in that it is together owned by the City of San Diego and the State of California. There is a glider port atop the cliff overlooking the beach where Han gliders, Para gliders and distant forbidden gliders can often be seen high.San Diego County is home to over 30 beaches stretching along 70 miles of beautiful coastline.In summer, waves at this beach are usually the most gentle of all San Diego beaches, although rip currents may still be strong at times. One of San Diego's most famous beaches, Coronado Beach, was once again named among America's Top Ten Beaches. San Diego's beautiful beaches joint with its year round perfect weather make it a beach lover's paradise.
 
 
 

Zoo :

 
 

The San Diego Zoo also operates the San Diego Wild Animal Park, which displays animals in an even freer condition than at the Zoo. Some animals are regularly exchanged between the two locales to provide them with a regular change of scenery.

The San Diego Wild Animal Park present a more natural setting to view the animals, birds and fish than the conservative cages of a zoo. Take the hour-long train ride and see giraffes and wild horses, or stop at the petting zoo to allow kids to pet and feed gentle deer and goats. The bird show is not to be missed.
